Matrix Partners with OnSSI on Intelligent IP Video Solutions

Matrix Systems and On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. have partnered to expand intelligent IP video surveillance control and management options for Frontier Universe access control system customers.

Ocularis, OnSSI's flagship physical security information management system, enables access control system administrators to view, control pan/tilt, manage and record security video for an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance cameras from a Frontier Universe workstation. The system's compatibility with more than 500 popular analog and digital camera brands makes it ideal for both retrofit and new video installations.

Ocularis is a unified comprehensive platform that enables management of short and long-term video storage, and the correlation and fusion of video and non-video events and alerts. It also offers a variety of recording capabilities for all sizes of businesses, buildings and access control systems.

"We no longer need to integrate every customer's existing and new video equipment into Frontier Universe. Our software engineers can now spend more time developing in-house products such as this year's Frontier Web-Essentials and Frontier Universe innovations," said Jim Russell, vice president of sales for Matrix Systems.

"The successful integration of the Frontier Universe solution further extends the range of applications for the Ocularis IP video management platform and delivers a higher level solution benefitting end-users and security integrators," said Mulli Diamant, vice president of sales for OnSSI.

Matrix Systems' Frontier Universe is an open-architecture TCP/IP, network-based or Web-based access control system with comprehensive security features, such as access control, time/attendance recording, alarm management, guard tour, visitor management, biometrics, HSPD-12 government compliances and other technologies. The addition of OnSSI's Ocularis offers a reliable and high-resolution digital end-to-end system that's fully compatible with any third-party software and hardware additions, including hazmat and radiation detection, license plate recognition and building automation systems.
