Videx Merges Flex System and CyberLock Solution

Videx announces the new CyberLock Flex System, a family of access modules that expands the flexibility of the CyberLock system. Flex System modules meld with the key-centric CyberLock solution to bring smart padlocks, electronic locks and keys, and a hardwired door control system together under one powerful access management structure.

Behind the scenes, a dynamic software platform manages Flex System access modules, CyberLock hardware, and soon-to-be-released door controllers as one single access management solution. The Flex System Hub acts as a conduit between the software and the Flex System modules and door controllers. The new CyberLock Flex System establishes a foundation that allows for significant future module expansion.

To date, Flex System modules include weatherized key vaults and a selection of reader, input, and display modules. Flex Key Vault modules allow electronic keys to be stored at points of entry and other indoor and outdoor locations. They can be deployed in environments that were never before viable, such as a mall parking lot for use by first responders or by the gate to a cell tower. Flex Input modules provide PIN authentication by numeric entry. Reader modules provide validation by RFID to gain access to a door controller or to open a key vault module. Flex Display modules provide feedback, instructions and warnings.

With the merging of the Flex System and CyberLock technology, a company will have the ability to create an access management system that is tailored to the exact requirements of each area of their facility, whether on or off site.
