Cam-Dex Security Adds Emergency Notification Offering

Cam-Dex Security Corp. and Metis Secure Solutions LLC have announced a strategic reseller and integration partner agreement. As a result of the agreement, Cam-Dex will market, sell, implement and support the Metis Secure precision emergency notification system.

“We are pleased about this new relationship and the value it brings to our customers. With more than 50 years of experience designing, installing, and maintaining security systems we see emergency notification gaps firsthand. The Metis Secure solution uniquely fills these gaps by providing unparalleled speed, targeting and reliability which strengthens the safety and security program for any organization,” said John Krumme, CEO and president of Cam-Dex Security.

According to Mark Kurtzrock, president and CEO of Metis Secure Solutions, “With their security integration expertise and strong long-standing customer base in the Midwest I feel Cam-Dex is well positioned to fuel our growth in the region. We see an excellent fit for our solution in manufacturing as well as healthcare, and I am confident that Cam-Dex will help us gain success in those markets.”

The Metis Secure system is an integrated hardware and software solution that combines comprehensive Command Center software, rapid two-way MS-5100 alerting devices and triple-redundant wireless mesh, FM-RBDS and Ethernet communication networks to ensure security personnel can communicate to anyone or everyone, in seconds not minutes.

The system is in use today at Carnegie Mellon University and Slippery Rock University and is currently being implemented at Point Park University in Pittsburgh.

GSX produced a wonderful tradeshow earlier this week. Monday was surprisingly strong in the morning, and the afternoon wasn’t bad at all. I have been looking forward to this year’s GSX show in New Orleans, the Cresent City, or if you prefer The Big Easy. It seems like quite a while since we’ve been here. A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
