e-DATA Acquired By Kaba Group

e-DATA Corp of Dallas announced recently it has been acquired by the Kaba Group. e-DATA is a manufacturer of Web-based appliances for physical access control and time & attendance, including integrated fingerprint biometrics.
 
Kaba's global presence will enhance e-DATA's ability to deliver solutions and support to customers of every size throughout the world.

The combination of the two companies will provide a portfolio of solutions and levels of service across many vertical markets, including retail, healthcare, banking and government. Kaba, with more than 9,000 employees worldwide and a 140-year history, is known for its high quality standards, superior products and excellent service.

Kaba plans to continue e-DATA product development and use Kaba technologies and products to further enhance customer-centric solutions. e-DATA has well-established business links with local and international integration partners.
 
As part of the Kaba Group, e-DATA will be expanding its operations, e-DATA President/CTO John Carter said. In the Dallas area, e-DATA's headquarters will relocate to Frisco, Texas -- among the top 10 of America's fastest-growing suburbs, according to Forbes magazine.
 
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
