Elk Products Announces Its Summer Lineup of Educational Events

Elk Products, a manufacturer of security and control components, announces its summer line up of training courses consisting of headquarter classes, off-site training and a new series of webinars.

Elk’s courses range from basic product training, designed for installers who want to learn more about the M1 cross platform control, to advanced technical courses, such as, An IP Guide to Integrated Home/Business Control. This course is designed for integrators who want to learn how to address IP functionality of M1 in order to enable remote services, such as full control apps, e-mail notifications, IP central station reporting and remote programming.

Many of Elk’s training courses provide National and State CEUs. Hands-on training courses, such as Enhancing Security with Simple Integration & IP Solutions help dealers expand simple security systems to fully networked security solutions. The workshops enable integrators to understand the fundamentals of an IP network and how to connect M1 controls to a network, enabling them to maximize profits by offering consumers comfort and convenience via their “smart” devices for remote control.

Along with technical training courses, Elk’s webinars provide dealers with sales strategies, such as how to can sell M1 control systems by promoting security, control, convenience and energy savings that customers can enjoy. At the same time, integrators will learn how to increase bottom line profits. Attendees will be taught how to identify new market opportunities by applying M1 security solutions to a variety of residential and commercial applications.

Rob Halfacre, an integrator from Media Solutions, Albuquerque, N.M., recently attended one of Elk Products’ technical training sessions.

“Elk Products greatly helped us expand our technical aptitude in designing, programming and installing profitable security and control solutions. In addition, through the luck-of-the-draw, we won an M1 Security and Automation Control System. Now we can put our newly acquired skills into good use,” Halfacre said.
