Infinova to Showcase New Camera at ASIS 2011

Infinova’s new V1772N-10G Series megapixel IP PTZ dome cameras will be on display in Booth 3167 at the ASIS Conference to be held Sept. 19-21, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. The 2-megapixel domes adopt a 1/2.5-inch progressive scanning CMOS sensor with a built-in 10x optical zoom lens, providing users with a high-definition, high frame rate and high signal to noise (SNR) real-time image acquisition system. Users can view and control H.264/M-JPEG dual encoded HD video, up to 1,920x1,080, and support three video streams, dual H.264 and scalable M-JPEG.

The new 2.0 megapixel cameras are suitable for use in applications that need good video quality but at substantially lower bit rates than previous standards to save on both bandwidth and storage space. The cameras have higher frame rates and better image quality compared with non-HD megapixel cameras.

“Today, end-users are looking for megapixel cameras that provide H.264 compression,” said Mark S. Wilson, Infinova vice president, marketing. “This is especially true with organizations such as transportation hubs, warehouses, those with large lobbies and in high-incident environments. Plus, many of them want to interface with their surveillance systems via the Internet.”

The V1772N-10G Series PTZ domes support setup and operation via a Web interface using a mouse. When controlling the PTZ function, users simply scroll the mouse-wheel to zoom in and out of selected areas and use the trace function to pan the camera by dragging the mouse. The trace speed is adjustable.

The domes provide presets, patterns, auto-scan and auto-pan. A series of mounting options are available including wall, corner, pole, over-roof side wall, over-roof horizontal surface and pendant mounting. The domes carry an IP-66 environmental rating.
