Comark Announces Availability of 19-inch In-wall, Building Alarm Touch PC

Comark Corp., a designer and manufacturer of life-safety rated computer and display systems for the building automation market, announced the availability of its UL 864 ninth edition building alarm touch computer. The UL 864 ninth edition specification meets the NFPA requirement for equipment installed in life safety applications, such as fire alarms, smoke control and mass notification systems. Testing was carried out by Underwriters Laboratories, in Northbrook, Ill. It also is recognized as a control unit fire alarm system under Canadian standard ULC-S527.

The Building Alarm Touch PC incorporates a 19-inch wide LCD and comes standard with a SAW (surface acoustic wave) touchscreen. The system is constructed of high-durability steel and computing options include Intel i5, Intel i7 or ATOM N270 processors, with up to 8 GB of system memory. It supports Windows, Linux and thin client operating systems. Typical applications include alarm monitoring, fire detection and security monitoring.
