Habitat for Humanity Build Monitored Live with IQinVision Megapixel Technology

Habitat for Humanity, known for building homes for families in need, started construction on another Habitat family home—but not just any home. West Pasco Habitat for Humanity decided to document one build along the Florida Gulf Coast for its unique sustainable features. IQinVision HD megapixel IP cameras will stream the home construction taking place in New Port Richey, Fla.

This new home will be considerably different from previous builds.  This will be the West Pasco Habitat’s first “green” built home, and the organization has partnered with a handful of companies and organizations so that interested parties can follow along and see what’s being done in West Pasco. This will also be the West Pasco Habitat’s first “televised” build thanks to a donation from IQinVision.

For over 13 years, IQinVision has been designing the quality-engineered IQeye line of HD megapixel cameras. IQinVision is a world leader in IP network camera products, renowned for image quality, stability, and reliability in the most demanding network environments. The company regularly contributes IQeye cameras to worthy endeavors in realms as varied as art, nature, and for high-profile events.

“This is our first collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, and we’re very pleased to be donating a high-end camera for this project. The folks at West Pasco Habitat for Humanity know our technology, and we were excited that their first choice for this project was an IQinVision HD megapixel camera,” said Wendi Burke, IQinVision’s director of marketing communications.

The IQinVision IQeye Sentinel camera provides live streaming of the build site, so that people interested in the project can view live feeds here (24.227.46.110) and at the IQinVision site here: http://www.iqeye.com/resources/habitat-build-cam.html

“In addition to IQinVision, we are also blessed with the fact that former NFL star Martin Gramatica will be providing the insulated wall and roof panels for this special home. Gramatica now owns a construction company based out of Sarasota, Fla., that specializes in this green building process,” said a spokesperson for the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity office.

The high quality images supplied by the IQeye camera will also enable Habitat for Humanity staff to put together a post-build “scrapbook” of images captured along the way, documenting the entire process and providing a fun and useful record of the project.
