Colorado Judicial Center Installs New System to Comply with Government Mandates

The Ralph Carr Judicial Center in Denver, Colo., on track for completion in spring 2013, selected AMAG Technology’s Symmetry Homeland V7 Security Management System.  Symmetry Homeland is designed for government and affiliated organizations needing a security management system that meets stringent government requirements and certifications. AMAG Technology is a security management solution provider that specializes in converged access control, IP video and intrusion management solutions for the commercial and government markets.

The state-of-the-art building complex includes a 12-story office building that will house seven judicial and legal agencies and a four-story courthouse that will include the Colorado Supreme Court Law Library and a large Visitors Learning Center.  The new building will consolidate offices to save money on leased spaces, implement energy-efficient strategies to improve operational procedures, save energy and water and provide a state of the art security system to protect employees and the public.

AMAG’s Symmetry Homeland Security Management System will integrate with 310 HID RP40 smartcard readers and NEC’s fault tolerant server solution to ensure system reliability. Over 250 cameras will provide digital video surveillance to monitor public and private areas of the Judicial Center.

“Symmetry Homeland will provide the Ralph Carr Judicial Center with a government compliant security solution that will grow with the building and continually comply with all government regulations now and in the future,” said AMAG Technology’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Matt Barnette. “AMAG’s vast experience working in the government sector demonstrates our commitment to providing compliant systems that are being utilized at the Ralph Carr Judicial Center.”

Guarantee Electrical’s Denver systems team has been chosen to install the structured cabling and fiber backbone as well as the government compliant security management system. They offer more than a century of expertise in electrical construction, preconstruction, design-build, communications/data systems and service and maintenance.

“We are proud to have such a major role in one of Colorado’s largest and highest profile construction projects. It is very exciting be providing the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center with its security management system,” said Guarantee Electrical, Project Manager, Mike Anthony. “We feel that our partnership with AMAG provides the end user with the industry’s best technology and support."

Symmetry Homeland is a physical access control system (PACS) designed to provide powerful integrated access control and security management solutions for those users that need to comply with Federal regulations such as FIPS 201, FIPS 197, SP800-116, and HSPD-12 in support of smart card programs such as PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC.

    Luma x20

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
