Metronet Croatia Deploys Radwin 2000 Systems

Metronet Croatia, the second largest service provider in the country, has deployed RADWIN 2000 systems to deliver high capacity to business customers including oil and gas companies, municipalities and banks requiring voice, data and video services. RADWIN is a global provider of Backhaul and Broadband wireless solutions.

RADWIN 2000 sub-6 GHz solutions deliver up to 200 Mbps net throughput and operate at ranges of up to 120 Km/75 miles. The radios incorporate advanced technologies such as OFDM and MIMO together with unique features and mechanisms, enabling superior performance in challenging geographical environments, non-line-of-sight paths, interference and harsh weather.

"We sought a last-mile solution and after a thorough evaluation selected RADWIN. RADWIN's point-to-point systems deliver the highest performance, sMeturpassing all other solutions we tested," said Zdenko Vrdoljak, CTO of Metronet. "Cost-effective and incredibly robust, RADWIN 2000 systems operate in fierce interference and non-line-of-sight conditions typical to the area. We also use them to backup our fiber optic network to ensure optimal network availability."

"RADWIN's telco-grade solutions empower service providers to deliver high-speed services to demanding corporate clients," said Yaron Ziv, RADWIN's Managing Sales Director of Europe. "The systems can be deployed in the same day and allow operators to reduce CAPEX and OPEX and overall total cost of ownership. With over 200,000 radios deployed in more than 140 countries, the RADWIN solutions are the product of choice of service providers and ISPs worldwide."
