ASIS and (ISC)2 Co-Locate For Second-Straight Year

For the second-straight year, ASIS and (ISC)2 are coming together to co-locate and provide a comprehensive view of the physical and information security landscape. Both conferences will be held next week in Philadelphia.

After the first try at co-locating the conferences last year in Orlando, the positive response from attendees helped convince the organizations to team up once again.

"As the industry's leading certification and education organizations, we can strengthen and serve the broader security community best by working together. By aligning our organizational resources strategically, our combined memberships gain access to core knowledge and best practices across the full spectrum of information and traditional security disciplines," said W. Hord Tipton executive director of (ISC)2.

I was very pleased with the information presented in Orlando, and am planning on attending numerous education sessions once again.

And for the third year, ASIS is offering a smartphone app with more information than you could ever imagine existing about the conference. Download the iPhone app and the Android version.

Other smartphone users can surf to the mobile-friendly site at http://www.asismobile.com.

Once again this year, I plan on using Twitter extensively to give my followers up-to-date information on what is making news at the show. You can find me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/SecProds.

My schedule is full of appointments and other events, but if you get a chance during the show, stop me and s ay hi. I enjoy meeting as many people as possible and learning more about the world of network-centric security. Even if you're not going to the show, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] with any show announcements or news. And make sure to keep an eye out for the newsletters from Orlando starting next week.
