XTec Incorporated provided mobile accountability, identity validation and tracking capabilities for the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) and the District of Columbia National Guard (DCNG) for the 57th Presidential Inauguration. XNodes and AuthentX physical access control readers supported an interoperable solution that utilized Common Access Cards, PIV cards and PIV-I cards presented by government officials and approximately 6,000 participating National Guard members.

“We were pleased to support the 57th Presidential Inauguration with a solution that offered both interoperability and mobility,” said Kevin Kozlowski, XTec’s vice president of government initiatives.

At HSEMA’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), XTec’s AuthentX Accountability Stations captured identity data from the credentials of those entering and exiting the facility. For the DC National Guard members, XTec accountability readers and XNodes were deployed at 20 locations throughout the District. National Guard members logged more than 13,000 transactions throughout the weekend.

XTec utilized live reporting capabilities, a feature of the mobile solution. The District government will continue utilizing its XTec-issued PIV-I credentials, XNodes and AuthentX physical access control readers after the Inauguration. The National Guard can utilize XTec’s solution to create after-action reports detailing the magnitude, location and duration of troop activity.

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
