Samsung Expands Footprint in Canadian Security MarketSamsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products, announced recent additions to its Canadian sales team. New appointments include Daniel Couillard as National Sales Manager and Dan Ireland as Regional Sales Manager for Central and Western Canada. Joining Samsung’s family of manufacturer’s representatives is SVT Solutions of British Samsung Expands Footprint in Canadian Security MarketColumbia, covering the Western Canada territory.

“Having the right people in place is fundamental for Samsung Security’s continued growth, and these new additions to our sales team will further accelerate Samsung’s expanding presence in the Canadian market,” said Frank DeFina, Samsung's senior vice president of sales and marketing, North America. “Daniel, Dan and SVT’s team have tremendous experience in the professional security market, and we look forward to their contributions.”

In his role as National Sales Manager, Daniel Couillard will focus on new business development and brand extension by reaching out to integrators and end users in the Canadian security market. He will additionally implement sales and marketing initiatives that will support the Canadian team in meeting corporate objectives. Prior to joining Samsung Techwin, Daniel served as Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Canada for Axis Communications. His impressive resume also includes similar positions with Anixter and Siemens Building Technologies.

Dan Ireland brings an accomplished skill set to his new position that includes expert technical knowledge and advanced system design competency as well as strategic account management. Dan has earned his CPP designation and is a known and respected professional in the Central and Eastern Canadian region having worked at leading video surveillance and security companies throughout his career, including Avigilon, DVTel, Securac and Access Direct Sales. Most recently, Dan was National Sales Director for Idea Networks, a Toronto based systems integrator.

SVT Solutions Inc. offers sales support as a manufacturer’s rep in the electrical, industrial, security and data industries for the Western Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Their head office is located in Surrey, British Columbia, with satellite offices in Alberta and Manitoba to ensure complete coverage across Western Canada. The company headed by SVT President and CEO Bryan Baxter deliver’s comprehensive, end-to-end video surveillance and security solutions. According to Baxter, the addition of Samsung Techwin’s leading video surveillance portfolio complements SVT’s technology portfolio.
