LP Industry Unites to Support National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

LP Industry Unites to Support National Center for Missing and Exploited ChildrenCompanies throughout the loss prevention industry are joining together to support the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the Universal Surveillance Systems Foundation’s Fifth Annual Charity Golf Event. Scheduled for June 11 in conjunction with the National Retail Federation (NRF) Loss Prevention Conference, the golf event will be played at the famous Torrey Pines South Course in La Jolla to raise funds for NCMEC. Sponsorship donations for this year’s event are exceeding those of previous tournaments.

Sponsors of the event include Platinum Sponsor eBay; Silver Sponsor Loss Prevention Magazine; Bronze Sponsor The Retail Equation; Hole Sponsors 3VR, The Plotkin Group, LP Innovations and Palmer Reifler & Associates, P.A.; and James Malinousky, who is sponsoring celebrity golfer Bruce Jenner, Olympic decathlon winner, entrepreneur, sportscaster and humanitarian. Additional sponsors include Stanley Security and Diebold. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

“The vulnerable children helped every day by the tireless efforts of the National Center are the true beneficiaries of our sponsors’ incredible generosity,” said Adel Sayegh, founder and president of the USS Foundation. “Words can’t express our appreciation for their support in helping raise desperately-needed funds for this wonderful organization. We are looking forward to partnering with additional sponsors as the event draws near and making it another record-breaking year in National Center fundraising. Qualified companies who want to participate and support this great cause can still get involved by contacting us to become a sponsor.”

The USS Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to helping poor and less fortunate children have the tools, skills and knowledge to build a better life with a hope for a brighter tomorrow. The USS Foundation works both locally and nationally through their support programs that help community food banks, hospitals and homeless shelters and through their Adopt-A-Bike program that has donated over 1,000 bicycles to needy children across the country.

Since its inception in 1984, NCMEC has been at the forefront of the fight to keep children safer from abduction and sexual exploitation through resource assistance to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, bring perpetrators to justice and prevent devastating crimes against children.
