Affigent Launches Physical Security Capabilities to Augment Security Practice
Affigent, an IT solutions provider and value added reseller (VAR) focused on the federal, state and local and education markets, is restructuring its business units to help federal customers refocus their lens on security. The company is streamlining its physical and cyber security divisions to deliver end-to-end security solutions that will help close security gaps across the public sector enterprise.
The solution suite consists of proactive, risk-based service components that can be leveraged as a turn-key solution or standalone services:
- Secure Discovery: A comprehensive, business-oriented assessment of all physical and cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, risks and business impacts for an agency's asset base of people, intellectual property, wired and wireless networks, and facilities.
- Secure Engineer: A technology-oriented suite of physical and cyber security solutions that incorporate the required systems, applications, components and controls that protect federal assets.
- Secure Remediation: A comprehensive set of security remediation tools to investigate, analyze, capture and preserve forensic information to ensure continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery in the event of a security breach.
As part of this effort, Affigent is analyzing emerging manufacturers dedicated to promoting innovation and information sharing between the industry's leading physical and cyber security vendors for the development of its elite partner program, including:
"In today's world, everything is interconnected. Attackers are on the hunt for exploitable entry points into a system or organization -- that could be an open window or unpatched software application," said Ken Grimsley, president, Affigent. "Public sector organizations must eliminate siloes and overcomplicated procedures between physical and cyber security teams to keep their critical assets safe and secure. We're on a mission to bring together the best of the best in physical and cyber security to create a solution comprehensive enough to address this complex reality."
