LOREX introduces Stratus ConnectivityServing as the connectivity layer for all future LOREX product platforms, Stratus Connectivity provides customers with an instant connection to their security system from anywhere.

Say goodbye to complex network configuration and router port forwarding issues. LOREX Stratus Connectivity reduces set-up time for remote viewing from hours to mere minutes. In just three simple steps – download the free app, scan a QR code and input a new password – users are able to instantly access their system from anywhere in the world.

Catering to the new age of mobility, customers can set up their system using an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet without needing to use a computer.

Stratus Connectivity is unique in bringing cloud-connectivity to Security DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) without sacrificing any features. The innovative solution supports secure remote access using PC, Mac, Android and iOS. The dedicated apps provide advanced controls, enabling users to view multiple cameras, search and playback recorded footage, and save video or snap shots straight to their mobile device. Connectivity software for all platforms is provided for free, and there are no recurring fees to use the service.

“A real game-changer in the consumer surveillance industry, Stratus Connectivity offers a whole new type of user experience, integrating the technology LOREX is known for with the benefits of cloud connectivity,” said Reuben Klein, general manager of LOREX. “With Stratus Connectivity, LOREX is making it faster and easier for consumers to incorporate DVR solutions into their everyday lives, which should increase the penetration of security systems into more homes in the future.”
