Samsung Techwin Announces High-Definition Fisheye Cameras

Samsung Techwin continues to expand its offering of imaging solutions that deliver high performance and greater value with the introduction of the new SNF-7010 360° megapixel camera at ASIS 2013 (booth #: 853). The omnidirectional SNF-7010 is a 3 megapixel 1080p high definition camera with a fisheye lens, digital pan/tilt/zoom (P/T/Z) and bi-directional audio.

"The new SNF-7010 360° Megapixel Camera provides an extremely effective solution for wide area surveillance," said Frank De Fina, Samsung's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America. "Its ability to provide HD quality panoramic coverage with versatile viewing modes and electronic pan/tilt/zoom operation improves situational awareness while effectively doing the work of up to four cameras effectively increasing ROI and lowering TCO."

Images captured with the SNF-7010 360° Megapixel Camera can be displayed in a variety of configurations including single panorama, double panorama, quad, single rectangle, original fisheye and user-selectable region. P/T/Z functionality can be activated on paused or live images in any of the configurations as well as on recorded video. Motion detection provides effective monitoring by detecting any changes in the pre-defined field of view.

The camera has a wide dynamic range of 120dB for corner to corner outstanding picture quality and offers both H.264 and MJPEG compression technologies. It features automatic day/night image capture, audio and tampering detection, privacy masking, SDXC memory card support and alarm triggers for motion detection and network disconnection. Advanced Samsung technology engineered into the camera's design includes Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and Samsung Digital Noise Reduction (SSNRIII). At 3 megapixel quality, it can transmit at 20 fps.

The SNF-7010 is also available in an outdoor version (SNF-7010V) complete with IK10 (vandal resistant) and EN50155 (transportation ready) certifications.
