DIGIOP Launches Innovative NVR and FlexVR Hybrid Recording Solutions

DIGIOP, DIGIOP Launches Innovative NVR and FlexVR Hybrid Recording Solutionsa provider of video and data management solutions, today announced a completely new line of hybrid and network video recording solutions. The new systems are engineered to deliver enhanced performance, convenience and scalability, and feature DIGIOP’s new, innovative and simplified licensing model, Open IP License.

DIGIOP’s new purpose-built, hardware platforms include 32 channel NVRs and 16-32 channel FlexVR Hybrid DVRs, pre-installed with DIGIOP’s powerful ELEMENTS VMS suite. Systems feature 2U and 3U rack-mountable chassis, latest-generation Intel processors, extended storage options of up to 14 TB, and are fully-qualified for live, local viewing.

DIGIOP Launches Innovative NVR and FlexVR Hybrid Recording SolutionsUnlike traditional hybrid DVRs, which offer a predetermined number of analog and IP channels, DIGIOP’s new FlexVR Hybrid DVRs can be configured to support any combination of analog and IP video streams – within the total number of channels supported by the DVR.  Channels can be converted to support either analog or IP cameras at any time, delivering the ultimate in flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

“The development of DIGIOP’s FlexVR hybrid line is in direct response to the market’s desire for a more flexible and convenient transition to IP video,” said Wayne Jared, CTO for Observint. “Providing technology that allows the customer to convert from analog to IP at any time - as needs require or budget allows – significantly reduces the pressure, cost, and risk associated with investing in a professional video surveillance solution.”

All NVR and FlexVR recorders feature DIGIOP’s simple, cost-effective licensing model, Open IP License. All video channels come pre-licensed and fully-enabled, allowing users to add cameras as their system needs require (up to 32 channels per system), without having to purchase additional licenses.  Licenses never expire and there are no recurring fees, minimizing total cost of ownership over the life of the product.

“Licensing associated with traditional VMS platforms can be very complex, sometimes bordering on deceptive, and often results in user frustration, management complexity, and increased total cost of ownership,” said Jared. “With the launch of our new DIGIOP platforms, we were determined to deliver the most cost-effective, simple model available.  I believe we have accomplished this – and our customers will benefit as a result.”
