Security Startup Octopus Raises $2.5M

The cloud-based physical security tool raised the money from a group called Singulariteam

A Tel Aviv startup called Octopus has raised $2.5 million in startup money from Singulariteam. Octopus makes cloud-based physical security systems for large facilities.

According to a report, the company will use the funds to expand in the U.S. and Asia. Octopus’ products are already used in Israel by the government, Coca-Cola, Visa and three national banks.

Octopus develops security systems intended for facilities such as airports, factories, hospitals and commercial buildings that can be monitored from a web or mobile app. The cloud-based system analyzes data in real-time from sources such as video feeds, traffic reports, social media keywords, and fire/burglar alarms.
