Speco Technologies Launches Premium Commercial In-ceiling Speaker Line

Speco Technologies announced the launch of its Contractor Elite series of speakers. The Contractor Elite series combines home theater speaker quality and performance with commercial durability and longevity.

The SPCE6T is the first speaker in this line, and it offers a 6.5” aluminum cone woofer and 1.2” pivoting PEI tweeter. The 6” deep metal backcan and front ports help provide great sound and a wide frequency response, and the 70V transformer dial allows installations requiring power anywhere from 1W up to 32W.

The speaker is also constructed with an easy-install magnetic grille, which saves the installer much time and effort when trying to access the transformer or adjust the tweeter. Another convenience to the installer is that these speakers ship with both black and white grilles, eliminating the necessity to paint the grille in darker ceilings.

“We’re really thrilled to introduce to the market a speaker like this that combines premium home theater components and features with the utility of a 70V commercial speaker,” said Scott Pisani, Speco Technologies audio product manager. “It fills the high-end commercial performance gap that retail, bars/restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues and many other places have been asking for.”
