Live from the Final Day of ISC West 2016

The last day of ISC West saw some unexpected and innovative products

ISC West 2016 turned out to be a successful show, and the strength of the products on display was a large reason why.

The first stop was at the Talk-A-Phone booth, where some of the products were designed for mass transit, such as the Hardened Call Box with Handset. The unit provides protection from harsh environments for maintenance workers.

Next, Xtreme Green vehicles are providing an energy-efficient solution for security vehicles, such as ATVs and personal transport. The vehicles are 100% electric, eliminating the cost of gas.

Open Options had an award-winning product on display in the Turbine IP Video Station. The product was a partnership with Stentofon.

My final two stops were to the Genetec booth powered by BCD Video, which was constantly packed throughout the show, and the Salient Systems booth, where the company did a great job of highlighting the industries in which its products were utilized for all attendees to see.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
