Aiphone Upgrades GT Series for Multi-Tenant Buildings

Aiphone Corp. announced technology upgrades to its most popular product line, the GT Series multi-tenant video entry intercom system.

Improved video camera quality in three new video entrance stations make identifying visitors easier and more precise than ever. Two slim-design tenant stations, with either 7- or 3 1/2-inch LCD screens, fit perfectly in apartment and condominium buildings, independent senior living facilities and student housing. A video line out allows the GT Series cameras to securely record lobby video onto a video management system (VMS).

Bruce Czerwinski, U.S. general sales manager for Aiphone, said the upgrades provide greater performance, convenience and security, while the GT Series still offers the quality, features and options that have made it so popular for use in multi-tenant buildings.

“The GT Series accommodates up to 500 tenant, 16 entrance and four guard stations – all configurable to create customized solutions for any installation,” he said. “As more states adopt building codes calling for video intercoms at lobby entrances, the GT Series provides the best solution for these new requirements. Residents can visually identify visitors clearly before granting them access to the building.”

Other GT Series features include:

  • Alert buttons on tenant stations to immediately notify the guard station in an emergency
  • Direct calls to tenant stations answerable only from within the residence, ensuring all visitors have been properly screened
  • A simple, wired intercom solution, eliminating the need and added expense of a telephone line

Czerwinski said Aiphone plans to announce more GT Series upgrades this summer.
