Get the Most out of ISC West 2017

Whether it is your first time at ISC West or your fifteenth time, there is always something new to see and learn. The way you go about your trip can really shape your experience, so to make sure you’re getting the most out of this Las Vegas show be sure you are taking in all the booths, talking with potential partners and old partners and engaging on social media.

Walk around the Show Room Floor

One of the best ways to take in all the sights is to take a (lengthy) stroll down the show floor. It doesn’t matter if you are an exhibitor or an attendee, walking the show floor is an obvious way to take in all the technologies and innovations.

If something catches your eye, feel free to stop and chat with the person manning the booth. If I ever hear an exciting conversation at a booth, it’s the result of someone just stopping in and saying, “I’ve been following this particular product. Can we talk about the logistics of a partnership?”

Business is the main motivator when it comes to ISC West, so get out there and meet as many new people and companies as you possibly can.

Talk with Existing Partners

Just because you can meet new people and companies doesn’t mean you need to completely ignore the ones you already have. Shows like ISC West are sometimes the only time of the year where some partners are all in the same room. Take this time to sit down and have a face-to-face talk with the people you most likely do business with every single work day.

These conversations and experiences cultivate a better working relationship and can lead to a more collaborative working environment.

Engage on Social Media

A great way to chronicle your show experience and use that to push your products and solutions out to a wider audience is to engage on social media. Twitter and LinkedIn are huge platforms to stay engaged on during the show.

With Twitter, you can hashtag #ISCWest or #ISCWest17 to make sure your tweets are seen by those at the show or those who are tuning into the show through social media. You’re tweet might even show up in Security Today’s Live From coverage! Check it out here.
