Security Industry Rallies to Help Harvey Victims

Manufacturer Rep Firm LRG inc and their vendor partners have started a pledge drive to directly assist electronic security personnel and their families that were severely affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Manufacturer Rep Firm LRG inc and their vendor partners have started a pledge drive to directly assist electronic security personnel and their families that were severely affected by Hurricane Harvey. ABC News reported yesterday that as many as 85% of the Houston flood victims do not have flood insurance. Many were not required as they did not reside in a 100 year flood plain.

LRG President Chris Lanier stated, “Many times it is the branch inside salesperson, central station operator or field technician that get hit the hardest and they either don’t have proper insurance or have a high deductible. We’ve done WalMart gift cards in previous disasters as the very basics such as cleaning products, bottled water, children’s clothing, etc, are most in need in these early days of recovery.” Lanier added, “We greatly appreciate all the thoughts and prayers within the industry that were sent our way and we send that same hope to the East Coast with Hurricane Irma effects.”

Those that wish to participate with this 100% industry specific relief can email Lanier directly at chrisl@lanrepgroup.com or call 409-384-4560. Donors can be invoiced, will receive a receipt and will be included with recipient news.

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain.
