PACLOCK expands Aluminum Padlock line with Powder Coating Options
Security hardware manufacturer Pacific Lock Company (PACLOCK) has announced that it will begin offering powder coated finishing as an option with all of its aluminum bodied padlocks.
Security hardware manufacturer Pacific Lock Company (PACLOCK) has announced that it will begin offering powder coated finishing as an option with all of its aluminum bodied padlocks. This comes in direct response to the Master Lock Co.’s public announcement on Jan. 8 where Master noted they will be discontinuing its powder coated safety lockout products.
Since PACLOCK manufactures a variety of aluminum, solid body padlocks, production of powder coated versions of each lock series will be based on customer demand.
“It is what our customers are coming to expect from us,” said Gregory Waugh, president and CEO of PACLOCK. “Over the years, we’ve been producing powder coated locks for a variety of customers, but simply have not promoted this capability. With Master Lock discontinuing its powder coated safety lockout products, it’s only natural for PACLOCK to fill this void.”
Waugh believes the key to PACLOCK’s growth is due to its U.S.-based precision CNC manufacturing.
“By producing our lock bodies in the United States, we respond within days to changing market conditions or requests for new products,” he said. “Expanding the ability to powder coat our entire line of aluminum bodied padlocks won’t be a stretch, nor will the lead times be long at all.”
According to Lance Endsley, PACLOCK’s national sales leader and a former Master Lock Co. territory manager, expected lead times will be less than two weeks initially, with any variety of color available. Short runs of custom colors such as pink, beige or others will be available as well, with lead times between two and three weeks.
“We typically ship orders in just a few days,” Endsley said, “so getting powder coated locks out the door will just add a few extra days in the beginning as we ramp up production.”
