Johnson Controls Showcase Complete Suite of Commercial, Residential Security Solutions at ISC West 2023

Johnson Controls, the global leader for smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, will be showcasing an entire suite of intrusion, access control and video security solutions in stand 18033 at the ISC West Expo, happening March 29 to 31 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the show, Johnson Controls will highlight its ‘One Platform’ theme by demonstrating how its full range of innovative new products provide the right solution for every customer’s security needs, from residential to commercial applications.

“In today’s world, maintaining safe, secure buildings at all points is a crucial part of overall business success and occupant well-being,” said Dave Pulling, vice president and general manager, security products, Johnson Controls. “With so many areas of physical security to consider, we’re aiming to make the process simpler for customers by offering all the solutions they need under one unified platform.”

Products on display include:

C•CURE IQ Security Client: A security operations solution that creates a complete, streamlined enterprise security system and includes the use of artificial intelligence to power forensic search for modernized SOC. Its feature set is designed for both access control and video surveillance.

Cloudvue One Cloud Platform: This all-encompassing cloud technology and security-as-a-service packaging makes video surveillance and access control affordable.

Kantech EntraPass Security Management software: EntraPass software can be deployed locally or through the Kantech hattrix cloud to offer a user-centric experience. At the show, you can experience Kantech’s new and state-of-the-art controllers with enhanced security design, leveraging PoE, Wi-Fi and Open Standard Device Protocol (OSDP).

Exacq video surveillance, integrated access control and intelligent analytics: See the latest powerful and new camera integrations for high-quality images, advanced features, and ease of connection through Exacq such as the Illustra Flex Gen 4 PTZ cameras. Giving show attendees a preview of the new mobile experience, with modern intuitive UI, seamless remote connectivity and cloud-based onboarding.

IQ Pro hybrid security panel: A hybrid commercial intrusion system that can run traditional or addressable wiring schemas, as well as wireless connectivity through PowerG wireless technology. With eight partitions, 100+ zones and over 1,000 users, this system was built to cover the maximum square footage needed in commercial applications.

IQ4 NS security and smart home panel: An entry-level panel for the IQ Platform launching later this year that provides access at an affordable price. It features simplified installation, is powered by Alarm.com and offers PowerG and Z-Wave connectivity to control both security and automation products.

IQ Wi-Fi 6 mesh router solution: A mesh network that uses three partitions to separate the security system from users and guests who are on the network. A “security only” partition allows remote access, so customer service reps can adjust settings remotely to save time and reduce service calls.

IQ Lockdown: For building owners and occupants that need access control during emergency lockdown situations, IQ Lockdown provides a rapid, smart, and wireless solution. Once installed on doorframes, IQ Lockdown’s industry-leading design can absorb up to 2,000 pounds of force. The device also includes a safety-red wedge for visual indication that the premise is secure for room occupants to ensure compliance with ADA and NFPA regulations for egress.

IQ4 Hub panel: The IQ4 Hub is a feature packed panel with LTE & Wi-Fi Dual-Path connectivity, a 7” touchscreen display, digital photo-frame feature and works seamlessly with Live View and Live Answer from your video doorbell. The IQ4 Hub is a great solution for MDU, senior living centers, residential and SMB customers.

IQ Panel 4: Our flagship panel, The IQ Panel 4 comes equipped with an 8MP onboard camera, Bluetooth speakers for music playback and a 7” touchscreen display that also functions as a photo frame when the panel is dormant. Featuring LTE & Wi-Fi dual-path connectivity, dual SRF, a built-in glass break detector and PowerG, the IQ Panel 4 is the all-in-one comprehensive option for anyone looking for more “bells & whistles.”

IQ Remote-PG keypad: Our first secondary keypad to connect and control our panels using PowerG, the IQ Remote-PG has a 7” display that can arm or disarm a security system and control automation devices at multiple entry points. IQ Remote-PG can connect with the IQ Panel 4, the IQ4 Hub and will be the preferred control panel for the IQ Pro.

Illustra AI cameras: Illustra will be presenting their Illustra camera wall to present their deep learning AI cameras. Deep-learning AI cameras can accurately classify many human and vehicle targets within a scene to provide real-time alerts and unparalleled forensic search capabilities. The AI metadata from these cameras can work in tandem with American Dynamics video wall monitors to allow you to deploy the command center of the future.

PowerG+ Peripherals: Coming soon, the next generation of PowerG, PowerG+ is a new lineup of peripherals including door/window sensors, smoke detectors and motion sensors, with increased range and battery life. Still backwards compatible, these products will work with standard PowerG panels.

SES Integration: An integration of mobile, cloud and on-premises technology that delivers a complete solution for multi-site security. The highly optimized locking solutions for remote sites provide perimeter control, protection for high-value utilities, access control for critical infrastructure and more.

Attendees are encouraged to stop by the Johnson Controls booth (18033) at ISC West to talk with a product expert.

  • Gaining a Competitive Edge

Ask most companies about their future technology plans and the answers will most likely include AI. Then ask how they plan to deploy it, and that is where the responses may start to vary. Every company has unique surveillance requirements that are based on market focus, scale, scope, risk tolerance, geographic area and, of course, budget. Those factors all play a role in deciding how to configure a surveillance system, and how to effectively implement technologies like AI. Read Now

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
