Axis Communications and Mobile Pro Systems Form Partnership

The collaboration integrates edge-based analytics and IP cameras into rapidly deployable mobile surveillance platforms.

Axis Communications and Mobile Pro Systems have announced a technology partnership aimed at enhancing mobile surveillance capabilities through the integration of high-performance hardware and edge-based analytics.

The collaboration combines Axis IP cameras, audio solutions, and analytics with the portable platforms developed by Mobile Pro Systems. The integrated units are designed for use in environments where fixed infrastructure is unavailable, such as critical infrastructure sites, public spaces, and temporary event locations.

By utilizing edge-based intelligence, the platforms process data within the camera hardware. This approach allows for real-time situational awareness and automated deterrence features without the need for external servers or complex cabling.

"Mobile security is most effective when the right platform and the right technology work together," the companies stated, noting that the partnership focuses on delivering flexible solutions for remote and rapidly changing environments.

The modular nature of the Mobile Pro Systems platforms allows for various Axis imaging technologies to be swapped or configured based on specific site requirements. This flexibility supports a range of applications from long-term monitoring to rapid deployment for emergency response.

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
