PSA Security Network, an electronic security cooperative, today announced that PSA stockholders elected Mike Kobelin, director of sales for Aronson Security Group (ASG), as chairman of the board and Mark Olive, owner of Eales Electronics, as vice chairman, both for two-year terms. The elections were held during the recent shareholder meeting during the 2009 PSA-TEC in St. Charles, IL.
The monitoring of fire alarm communications via phone lines, one primary line and one secondary line for backup, has been the industry standard since the mid-1980s. Although telecommunications technologies have improved significantly with the evolution of the Internet, the quality of fire alarm communications has steadily declined in recent years.

Axis Communications recently introduced at IFSEC an outdoor-ready, high-performance PTZ dome camera designed for easy and reliable installation in demanding surveillance applications.
The first day on the IFSEC floor has apparently been disappointing for some exhibitors. Since I’ve never been here before, I’m not sure how crowded it should look and the only thing I have to judge by is the traffic from ISC West. It didn’t seem all that crowded.
