IQinVision recently announced that Farmers & Merchants Bank of Central California, located in California’s great Central Valley is installing only IQeye cameras in all its bank branches.
GE announced recently that it has signed a definitive agreement with SAFRAN for SAFRAN to acquire 81 percent of GE Security’s Homeland Protection business for $580 million. Upon close, GE will own 19 percent and SAFRAN will have majority interest with 81 percent. RFID devices have widely been used for tracking for years; recently, scientists from U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory have developed a unique tracking technology that also monitors the environmental and physical conditions of containers of nuclear materials in storage and transportation.
This year’s ISC West Exposition wrapped up last Friday as a resounding success. Sure, attendance was a little down, but the show floor was still bustling each day -- a sight that left me reassured about the state of our industry during these troubling times.

For its 100th anniversary, the Belgian Police Department's Legal Identification Division is getting an innovative fingerprint capture system. Steria Benelux has been chosen to equip the Technical and Scientific Police Department's Legal Identification Division with a fingerprint-capture system.
In November, in the Falfurrias and Rio Grande Valley areas of South Texas, representatives from local, state and federal agencies observed a 360-degree aerial view of six to eight square miles along the U.S. border, and were able to identify and detain alien immigrants with the help of Top Eye View Inc., providers of real-time video-streaming aerial observation platforms.
