Matrix unveiled its indigenously designed COSEC Facial Recognition. Matrix COSEC Face Recognition is based on innovative, deep learning technology, which evolves as per regular user interaction in different conditions. It identifies a user quickly and accurately with 1:1 or 1:N identification method. The technology checks liveness of a face with 99.53 percent accuracy. It accepts the user’s mobile as a credential, which eliminates hardware cost and makes the verification process simple and secure. With contactless authentication, Matrix COSEC Facial Recognition technology reads the user’s face through COSEC APTA application. It ensures contactless authentication and identifies a user’s face in less than one second.

FaceVACS-Entry combines smart hardware for facial image acquisition with market-leading software for verification processes, and is ready for integration into electronic gates (eGates) at border control checkpoints. The new software release, FaceVACS-Entry 5.3, includes Cognitec’s latest matching algorithm B10 and generates higher accuracy rates for passport images with low resolution and other image quality problems. Cognitec also optimized the performance of FaceVACS-Entry’s unique presentation attack detector, which recognizes fraudulent attempts to use photos, videos or masks. Cognitec also improved various user experience features. Persons entering the gate can overlay the moving contour around their live facial image with a static head silhouette in an optimal position for face recognition measures. The display also alerts users to remove sunglasses. Additional feature upgrades provide system administrators with more streamlined calibration and configuration procedures.
PlateSmart Technologies, a leader in software-only Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) and ALPR-based video analytics, will soon introduce High-Definition (HD) capability to its entire line of software solutions including its award-winning ARES fixed solution. HD enables the capture of plates from a far wider field of view than previously possible, as well as the capture of multiple plates from a single image. With the increased resolution of HD along with color processing, more data can be captured from video than ever before, enabling the software to identify such characteristics as vehicle color and make in addition to reading license plate numbers and state jurisdictions.
