BioPassword Announces Distribution Partnership With Alternative Technology

BioPassword Inc. recently announced a distribution partnership with Alternative Technology, a distributor of thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, virtualization and government-approved security solutions.

The agreement with Alternative Technology will further enhance BioPassword's Value-Added Reseller Program, broadening the availability and adoption of BioPassword's solutions throughout North America. It will also better enable BioPassword's channel partners to quickly meet growing demand for strong authentication software. BioPassword's unique authentication software identifies users by the rhythm of their typing and is optimized for Windows Active Directory and Citrix environments.

"BioPassword's product offering is a natural fit with Alternative Technology's Citrix channel community," said Tom Zorn, executive vice president at Alternative Technology. "BioPassword's software allows us to deliver strong authentication solutions to our resellers, ensuring that their end-users can easily and cost-effectively protect information assets while complying with new regulations. BioPassword is already a Citrix Ready partner, which facilitates effective integration with Citrix's application delivery architecture, but our long-term relationship with the Citrix channel will accelerate the adoption of the BioPassword products.

As guidelines for stronger authentication to combat fraud and identity theft become more widespread, the partnership with BioPassword will strengthen our Citrix and security offerings, enabling our resellers to continue providing the most innovative solutions on the market today."

BioPassword's software-only solutions authenticate users without the need for specialized hardware by analyzing a combination of standard login credentials (user ID and password), keystroke biometrics (unique typing rhythm) and knowledge-based authentication (user selected questions and answers). BioPassword's solutions include BioPassword Internet Edition for strong authentication in Web-based environments and BioPassword Enterprise Edition for strong authentication in Windows Active Directory and Citrix Presentation Server environments.

"As a BioPassword partner that also works with Alternative Technology, we understand the value that this partnership will bring to BioPassword's VARs," said Neil Issa, CEO at Catalyst Technology Group. "Alternative Technology's thorough understanding and leadership in the Citrix and security markets will help us to supply our customers with even better services and will expand the availability of BioPassword's solutions as the need grows wider in the marketplace."
