Sonitrol Acquires Dallas Franchise

Sonitrol Corp. recently announced the acquisition of the territory and operating rights of its Dallas franchise. Dallas joins Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Orlando, Fla., Denver, Columbus, Ohio and Kansas City, Mo. among others, as major metropolitan areas Sonitrol has acquired within the past three years.

Sonitrol already maintains a major presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The company’s operational headquarters, which houses one of its core monitoring centers, is located in nearby Westlake.

“Dallas is a natural extension for Sonitrol Corp. since we already serve Fort Worth and the surrounding areas,” said Sonitrol chairman and CEO Kevin Dowd. “This acquisition is also in line with our strategy of implementing a direct sales channel in the nation’s largest cities. Dallas is a thriving market and one where Sonitrol has seen substantial growth within our National Accounts division. We will leverage the foundation put in place by the franchise over its long history to bring an even broader range of products and services to the Dallas market.”

Sonitrol now directly serves eight of the top 10 largest metropolitan areas in the United States., with the Sonitrol franchise network serving the remaining two. Sonitrol Corp. and its franchise network together service 96 of the top 100 metropolitan areas in the U.S. and most major cities in Canada.
