ADI To Host Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week

ADI, a global wholesale distributor of security and low voltage products, recently announced it will host an Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week from Monday, July 28 to Friday, Aug. 1 at branches across the country.

The weeklong event invites dealers and integrators to visit ADI locations to learn about this emerging segment of the security industry, interact with leading manufacturers, see product demonstrations, attend training sessions and receive free giveaways.

According to the Department of Energy, worldwide copper demand is increasing and copper theft is on the rise. As job site thefts grow and residential housing segment continues to weaken, dealers are looking for new programs to increase their revenue stream. ADI’s weeklong event addresses these challenges and provides dealers with opportunities to use existing skills and knowledge to enter new growth markets in a tightened economy.

During ADI’s Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week, dealers and integrators will receive a first-hand look at solutions to safeguard job sites, equipment and tools against theft and vandalism. Equipped with built-in GPS, motion detectors, sensors, and alarm notification, these products provide reliable solutions to monitor and protect valuable assets.

“Outdoor perimeter protection presents a brand new revenue opportunity for dealers. We are excited to take part in ADI’s event to provide education about this growing section of the industry,” said Brian K. Hess, CEO of Tattletale Portable Alarm Systems Inc. “With job site theft becoming out of control, it’s important for dealers to provide customers with a portable security solution to protect their property.”

ADI carries outdoor perimeter protection products from Tattletale, DeWalt, Stealth Laboratories, Optex, Elk, ProTech, Aleph, SunWize, Crow Electronic Engineering, Takex, Terminus Products, Risco Group and Honeywell.

“As the residential market continues to slow, it is important for ADI to help dealers find new areas to increase their sales,” said Scott Sturgess, director of product marketing for intrusion and fire products at ADI. “By hosting the Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week at ADI, we are helping our customers discover new opportunities to grow their business, and capitalize on a booming market.”
