ISC Solutions and Security Products Share a Common Goal: Delivering Solutions

ISC Solutions was attended by thousands of security professionals, making it a great place to network with industry colleagues. Over the two days, I visited with familiar colleagues as well as new ones, all while touting the new and improved Security Products website.

A few weeks ago, I promised some big changes to the Security Products website, and we are already delivering on that promise.

Much like ISC Solutions, our goal is to deliver solutions. We are poised to become the resource security professionals turn to when they need answers. Through our website, we want to form a community and start a conversation, as well as to keep industry professionals abreast of the latest industry news and trends.

I’m pleased to announce our new blog, REACTION. We’ve recruited our in-house talent and seasoned security experts as bloggers. They will share their perspectives on a range of compelling security news and topics. Our current blog is about law enforcement using facial recognition technology to identify subjects. Should the police be using this technology?  Is the technology even suitable for this application? What about false positives? Share your REACTION and join in the conversation!

The next exciting service Security Products will be launching is “Ask the Expert.”  This service is open to anyone who has a security-related technical question. If you want to know the best way to monitor your perimeters, find a visitor management solution that is effective but not intrusive, or if you’re looking for the most cost-effective way to transition to IP, e-mail us at [email protected].

For all your questions, we’ll have an expert with the answer. We have secured a slew of experts in a variety of security topics, but it’s not too late to participate! Please e-mail me at [email protected].

Security Products will continue to add features and make improvements to the site in the coming weeks and months. Please let us know what you think, or if you have suggestions, please e-mail me at [email protected].

    ResponderLink

Shooter Detection Systems (SDS), an Alarm.com company and a global leader in gunshot detection solutions, has introduced ResponderLink, a groundbreaking new 911 notification service for gunshot events. ResponderLink completes the circle from detection to 911 notification to first responder awareness, giving law enforcement enhanced situational intelligence they urgently need to save lives. Integrating SDS’s proven gunshot detection system with Noonlight’s SendPolice platform, ResponderLink is the first solution to automatically deliver real-time gunshot detection data to 911 call centers and first responders. When shots are detected, the 911 dispatching center, also known as the Public Safety Answering Point or PSAP, is contacted based on the gunfire location, enabling faster initiation of life-saving emergency protocols.
