FutureSentry Enhances First Responder Sensor With New Components From Linear

FutureSentry, a developer of automated detection solutions designed to enhance perimeter security, has entered into a strategic partnership with Linear LLC, a leading supplier of electronics for the residential and commercial markets. The agreement enables FutureSentry to leverage Linear’s transmitter and receiver to enhance the 315MHz supervised sensor of its award-winning First Responder product line to provide stronger detection capabilities.

“FutureSentry develops a truly unique product that synergizes well with our components and will further enhance the strength of both brands,” said Todd Hokunson, VP business development, Linear LLC. “We wouldn’t miss the opportunity to leverage our robust technologies with a one-of-a-kind product that will be a force to reckon with in the market for years.”

FutureSentry will integrate components developed by Linear LLC. with the FutureSentry supervised sensors of the First Responder, an automated detection solution that mimics the actions of a security guard to prevent crime before loss or damage occurs, to increase detection, expand perimeter reach and deter intruders. The partnership extends both companies' ability to build upon their relationship and technology development as market needs evolve.

“We believe that the quality of our product, specifically as it relates to the criticality of the sensor and its ability to be the key component, that lets FutureSentry respond and track its targets,” said Rollie Trayte, president and COO, FutureSentry. “To that end, we also believe that our value is enhanced with the reliability and brand equity that Linear products bring to the equation.”

The new components enable the deployment of FutureSentry applications in locations that require higher risk-level specifications such as government housing, wireless towers, critical infrastructure and homeland security applications.

The FutureSentry First Responder is an automated detection solution that mimics the actions of a security guard to prevent crime before loss or damage occurs. The groundbreaking device leverages built-in motion detection to automatically identify potentially dangerous targets, and track objects to deter further criminal behavior. Once it detects motion in a user-defined area, the system illuminates activity with a high-intensity LED light and continues to track movement until it is no longer detected.

“We are pleased to partner with Linear as their technology enables us to deliver a solution that will go the extra mile to prevent crime, resulting in overall savings and long-term ROI for our customers,” Trayte said.
