Audio Analytic’s Technology Integrated Into NLSS Gateway

Audio Analytic Ltd, the emerging leader in sound classification technology is pleased to announce a licensing agreement in which Audio Analytic’s sound recognition technology is now integrated into the award-winning NLSS Gateway from Next Level Security Systems.

This integration of audio detection and classification technology will allow the unified security management platform to automatically alert security operators to a range of security related events, including: car thefts or break-ins (car alarm detection), office or building break-ins (glass break detection), verbal and physical violence in hospitals, prisons, reception areas, etc. (aggression detection), and firearm crimes (gunshot detection). This allows the system to detect crimes and events by analysing audio; detect events off-camera or in areas where cameras are not located; and detect events regardless of lighting conditions. The glass break analytic will be included as a standard feature on the GW-500, GW-3000 and GW-5000 with additional analytics provided as an optional purchase.

Audio Analytic’s technology can recognize complex sounds by using advanced psychoacoustic modelling the science behind how humans distinguish and understand the meaning of sound. The Audio Analytic CoreLogger sound recognition software is designed to be easily integrated into third party products and systems, and can detect a variety of sounds depending on the type of Sound Packs installed with high levels of ambient noise.

"The addition of audio analytics enhances the intelligence provided by our unified management platform and provides our customers with another tool to enhance safety and security proactively,” said Jumbi Edulbehram, vice president of business development, Next Level Security Systems.

“We are very excited about this collaboration. Next Level is leading the way in a new type of integrated security system that combines IP video management, IP access control, intrusion detection and video/audio analytics into one appliance” said Dr. Christopher Mitchell, CEO of Audio Analytic. “With the addition of integrated audio analytics, such as glass break detection, users can have access to functionality that currently requires a separate sensor, and with the possibility of using other analytics, such as car alarms, aggression and gunshots, a broad range of new capabilities to tackle complex security problems can also be achieved.”

This solution will also be available to existing Next Level customers who wish to add this functionality to existing applications.
