Dortronics Demonstrates Multiple Door Control Solutions

Perhaps one of the most innovative solutions in the security industry is the mantrap control system, and visitors to this year's ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits will have the opportunity to see a wide range of these devices at the Dortronics Systems booth.

The featured display includes a complete selection of door control products ranging from simple two-door units to custom-programmable, 128-door, multifunction units. Also highlighted are related products such as locks, switches, traffic lights and annunciator/control panels.

"Door interlock and mantrap control products are a reliable and highly workable solution for ensuring door control and Dortronics has a product portfolio that can meet a wide spectrum of needs," said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. "The advanced 4700 and 4900 systems capitalize on our advanced PLC- based controllers that can handle any size door application, including air locks, clean room environments and security mantraps, while our base model 4300 systems provide an economical solution for two-door applications."

Dortronics' 4700 Series Mantrap Control systems are PLC-based controllers that economically control up to four normally unlocked doors or three normally locked doors. The system provides six digital inputs, 2 DPDT Relay outputs and 2 SPDT Relay outputs, and may also be customized to control automatic door openers and provide timing and logic sequences for biological wash-down controls. Any access control system can be used with the 4700 Series controllers.

Dortronics' 4900 Series Interlock Control is designed to handle systems of over 100 doors. The PLC-based controllers can be programmed to operate doors with automatic openers and to provide custom-timing and logic sequences for biological wash-down and air purging controls. The series is available with 8-input/4-output modules and optional 4-relay output expansion modules. Custom sequencing and timing functions and traffic light control for user feedback may be configured with the optional LED display timer module. Built-in power supply provides a field-selectable 12 or 24vDC output for the PLCs. This power can operate magnetic locks and/or strikes for doors, as well as LED indicators.

The 4300 Series, powered by the built-in 4 amp power supply is a cost effective and convenient way to control two interlocked doors. The 4300 Series also provides outputs for traffic lights, forced doors and an emergency panic release input. An optional remote connection allows override of one or both locks by remote console, panic switch or similar actuator.
