aptiQ Alliance Program Members Highlight Open Systems at ISC West

In Booth #20029 at the ISC West Exposition, attendees will see how Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies and members of the aptiQ Alliance Program have come together to create an ecosystem of applications that support aptiQ smart card technology. The Alliance Program consists of global companies that are using an open architecture smart card technology that extends the use of an access control card or near field communications (NFC)-enabled, smart phone credential to an increasing number of applications. End users will learn how they can better leverage smart credentials to build an increasing number of solutions.

“In the aptiQ Alliance section of the Ingersoll Rand booth, attendees will be able to view open architecture offerings  from Access Smart, BadgePass, CBORD, Heartland Campus Solutions, Mobile Security Solutions, Nedap, TagMaster, XID, Ultra Electronics  and Gemalto that create an ecosystem of adjacent solutions,” explained Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies Director of Technology Alliances, Diane Kehlenbeck. “All these companies provide vertical market product suites or manufacture ancillary products that can be bundled as part of an overall, smart solution.”

Access Smart will show how they make cyber authentication and network access secure, easy and inexpensive with the aptiQ open platform. With BadgePass, users will see how they can leverage badge printing and visitor management with smart cards. CBORD will display one of its many offerings that support aptiQ technology for cashless payment. Gemalto will display their dual technology credentials that combine Ingersoll Rand’s aptiQ contactless smart card technology with Gemalto’s contact smart chip for converged access.

Heartland Campus Solutions will illustrate how college campus cards are used for cashless payment for dining. Mobile Security Systems will show how their mobile reader can be used with “bring-your-own-devices,” such as iPads, iPods and iPhones, for mobile verification, mustering and time and attendance. Nedap will illustrate how the same proximity or aptiQ smart card that is used for building access can also be used for long-range identification of vehicles and drivers. TagMaster will exhibit how both aptiQ smart card users and TagMaster North America’s long-range tag users can combine the features of a long-read range tag with the benefits of the highly-secure aptiQ MIFARE DESFire EV1 smart card to gain access at parking garages, buildings and interior office space.

XID will reveal their biometric facial readers that can be used for a variety of security applications, including access control of devices such as PCs and web cams as well as building access. Ultra Electronics Card Systems will show their MagiCard Rio Pro printer that seamlessly prints badges and encodes a variety of technologies.

In addition, BadgePass (25139), Nedap (27101), TagMaster (39010) and Ultra Electronics (5081) will be displaying such solutions more in depth in their own booths.

The ISC West Exposition will be held at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas April 10-12.
