Linear, a provider of residential and commercial access control and security, health and wellness solutions, announces its sponsorship of the first ever La Costa Film Festival, billed by organizers as, “…a unique, cultural event that enhances our appreciation of the arts, and establishes not just our community, but all of North County [San Diego] as an entertainment hub.”

Linear Named as Founding Patron of La Costa Film FestivalThe La Costa Film Festival will be held October 24-27, 2013 at the storied Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

Linear has been operating in Carlsbad since the company re-located in 1984 and currently employs close to 300 residents of the area. In addition to a financial sponsorship that will help fund the inaugural La Costa Film Festival, Linear has donated marketing and volunteer support to help promote the event to a wider audience and give employees the opportunity to participate in a fun, community-building event that also supports a great cause.

“Linear has been a part of the Carlsbad community since 1984, so we’re extremely proud to be a founding patron of the La Costa Film Festival and helping out the local Boys & Girls Club,” said Michael O’Neal, president of Linear. “The festival will be an excellent opportunity for attendees and our own team to enjoy all the attractions Carlsbad has to offer while letting them experience the work of up-and-coming film makers in a unique setting. We’re looking forward to a world-class event that will showcase the best of Carlsbad.”

Details on the venues, parties, films and celebrity guests attending the festival are coming soon. Local businesses interested in sponsorships or volunteering can find all the information they need at LaCostaFilmFestival.org.

“We are thrilled to welcome Linear as one of our founding patrons, who share our vision and commitment to our community. With the involvement of our fine local restaurants, award-winning craft brewers and boutique wineries, we will bring widespread recognition to the best that our area has to offer,” said Ruby Callihan, festival co-founder. “We have already selected some incredible films and will soon be ready to announce the details. We see the Carlsbad community embracing this festival as a highly anticipated annual event.”
