Quantum Secure Receives Lenel Factory Certification under Lenel’s OpenAccess Alliance Program

Quantum Secure Receives Lenel Factory Certification under Lenel’s OpenAccess Alliance ProgramQuantum Secure has received factory certification from Lenel Systems International and joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). Quantum Secure’s SAFE Software interfaces with the OnGuard access control system to enable data exchange between the systems in a seamless manner. The certification ensures that all types of physical identities, including employees, visitors, vendors and contractors, get provisioned into the OnGuard access control system based on the predefined rules and policies set withinSAFE. Lenel, a market leader in access control security, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX)

“Quantum Secure has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. End users can now manage various types of identities and their access privileges administered by OnGuard while automating policy enforcement and monitoring of compliance controls,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances, Lenel. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

SAFE allows interoperability among otherwise disparate systems by automating the process of managing physical identities and provisioning their access in the control systems. The SAFE agents listen for data updates and changes in near-real time from an authoritative data source, such as a human resources management system or an integrated database management system. Then, based on the work flows, the SAFE agents broadcast these changes to the OnGuard access control system. The SAFE agent leverages Lenel OnGuard’s DataConduIT application programming interface to automate security operations, such as identity onboarding, offboarding, profile changes, termination, rehiring, role-based access, PIN changes, compliance audit reports and analytics.

“SAFE Agent for OnGuard will allow customers to automate physical security operational processes, leading to lowered costs and guaranteed compliance. This recertification brings Quantum Secure technologies closer to a joint solution that helps enterprises and system integrators deliver true automation, speeding up deployments and simplifying integration. As long-standing partners of Lenel, we look forward to leveraging our identity management experience to deliver the innovative, next-generation solutions our clients are demanding,” said Vik Ghai, chief technology officer, Quantum Secure.
