ASSA ABLOY Wins 2014 GOOD DESIGN Awards

ASSA ABLOY announced today that the GeoMetek Square Locking Pull by Rockwood and IN120 WiFi lock by SARGENT and Corbin Russwin have won 2014 GOOD DESIGN Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art, Design and Urban Studies. Founded in 1950, GOOD DESIGN is the world’s oldest and one of the most recognized programs for design excellence worldwide, receiving several thousand submissions from leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms representing 48 countries across the globe.

The GeoMetek locking pull integrates a deadbolt locking system with a square door pull providing strength and durability with clean and appealing lines. Offered in plain or upholstery leather wrapping, the locking pull can be used on glass, aluminum, hollow metal or wood doors and can be locked at the floor, the head or both. Custom engraving options and three finishes are available: permanent dark satin bronze, satin stainless steel and bright stainless steel.

The IN120 WiFi lock, available from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and SARGENT, offers the ease and flexibility of WiFi in a new streamlined design, setting a new standard for aesthetics and performance. The IN120 uses 802.11b/g/n WiFi infrastructure and a flexible feature set for easier, more cost-effective installations, allowing facilities to expand access control coverage to more doors. The IN120 supports HID Mobile Access powered by Seos and utilizes HID multiCLASS SE technology, which provides heightened security and simultaneous support for multiple credential types. The IN120 comes with either black or white readers and a broad range of finishes and levers.
