Red Hawk Fire & Security, LLC. has announced the purchase of Security and Data Technologies, Inc., (SDT) to continue extending its reach to customers in Philadelphia, and the tri-state area of Eastern Pennsylvania, Central and Southern New Jersey and Delaware.

In business since 1988, SDT is located in Newtown, PA (Bucks County) and was established by industry veteran Jerome Paley who along with his team have built the company into the largest independently owned fire alarm distributor in the Philadelphia area.

“Bringing SDT on board further strengthens our presence in this important and growing geographic region. We are thrilled to welcome the talented team from SDT to help contribute to Red Hawk’s upward momentum,” said Red Hawk President and CEO Michael McWilliams.

Red Hawk is ranked No. 1 for Non-Residential Revenue in the 2018 SDM 100 listing of largest companies in the industry and No. 6 for total revenue at approximately $300 million dollars.

“We share our employees enthusiasm as we join together with a growing leader like Red Hawk. We have found a like-minded culture where we put the customer first in everything we do. We are excited to be a part of their winning team,” said SDT President Jerome Paley.

Red Hawk was formed as an independent, unified fire and electronic security services brand with a national footprint to serve commercial customers after the acquisition by a Comvest Partners sponsored private investment fund of the U.S. fire and security operations of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) in April of 2012. Since then, Red Hawk has focused efforts on successfully growing its commercial client base nationally in the, government, healthcare and education markets.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
