Most recently, Harrington was a managing director and CISO for Citi where he was responsible for expanding cybersecurity initiatives focused on protecting Citi, its clients and customers. Prior to that, he retired as the Associate Deputy Director of the FBI, where he served 25 years.

“As cyberthreats continue to rise and get more complex and sophisticated, it is important to build learning organizations that are cohesive, adaptable and responsive to the evolving and changing cyber threats,” said Tom Harrington, Board of Advisor member, Securonix. “In my role with Securonix, I look forward to helping customers develop a threat-focused approach to their security monitoring program. As a former Securonix customer, I believe in the product and the vision of the company. I am excited to join Securonix.”

In his role on the Board of Advisors, Harrington will lead the Securonix customer advisory board where he will collaborate with customer and industry CISOs to learn from problems and develop solutions to create a strong defense program from a people, process, and technology standpoint.

“Customers today are looking for opportunities to collaborate with peers and vendors to share and learn from experiences,” said Sachin Nayyar, Securonix founder and CEO. “Tom’s experience will be invaluable in building a strong customer CISO community that shares ideas, lessons learned and, in the process, help us build new and improved solutions to better serve our customer needs.”
