Axis Communications Opens Innovative Technology Center at Mall of America® Office Tower

Axis expands presence in the Upper Midwest, increasing access to cutting-edge technology in the Greater Minneapolis Area

Axis Communications unveils its newest Axis Experience Center (AEC) at The Offices @ MOA which adjoins the world-famous Mall of America® in Bloomington, MN—the largest mall in the United States. Minneapolis is the 5th AEC that Axis has opened this year and its 15th location within the Americas, underscoring the company’s dedication to growing its on-the-ground presence in key markets in order to better serve local stakeholders.

One of Axis’ most uniquely situated AEC’s, the 4,500 square foot Solutions Lab is also one of largest open today and offers breathtaking views of the Twin Cities via its powerful rooftop cameras. In addition to hosting this AEC, The Offices @ MOA is also an Axis customer—currently deploying several Axis security solutions throughout its spaces.

The AEC takes Axis’ entire product portfolio into account and is designed to provide partners and customers in the greater Minneapolis area with the opportunity to see cutting-edge video, audio, intercom and access control solutions in action, along with advanced integrations for point-of-sales, biometric access control and geo-tracking.

“At Axis, we’re always focused on the customer and their needs as part of our mission of enabling a smarter, safer world,” said Karl Radke, Midwest business area director at Axis Communications. “Our Axis Experience Centers give customers the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to make the best choices for their own unique projects. Opening an AEC in Minnesota allows us to get even closer to our valued stakeholders in the Midwest, offering them the opportunity to connect with our experts and our products in an incredible high-tech environment unlike anything they’ve seen before.”

To best serve significant local industries like retail, healthcare, professional services, banking and education, Axis has tailored this AEC and its offerings to the applications Minnesota-based customers and partners are most interested in. Other features of the Minneapolis-area AEC include:

  • A fully integrated, end-to-end product line display encompassing video, audio, intercom, and access control, with over 200 Axis devices live and operational
  • A 16x9 foot video wall in the Solutions Lab that allows visitors to view live feeds, demos and presentations
  • Tailored tours of the facility based on industry segment, including categorized products to allow customers to easily review and compare devices
  • Live integration demonstrations and showcases of Axis’ largest VMS partners, Genetec and Milestone

“The opening of the Axis Experience Center is yet another example of the innovative concepts we’re bringing into Mall of America,” said Rich Hoge, executive vice president of Operations at Mall of America. “Visitors will have the unique opportunity to test the products and learn how this leading security technology works. We are excited to welcome the Axis Experience Center as we mark their first location in the Upper Midwest.”

Other Axis Experience Centers within the Americas are located in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, San Jose, Washington D.C., Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.
