It's Show Time

I am one of those people that likes to see things get bigger and better. As advertised, ISC West is going to be bigger (more exhibitors) and better (more attendees). It’s show time in Las Vegas.

One thing missing, The Mirage, across the street from the exhibit hall. It soon will be a Hard Rock Hotel once construction workers have refurbished and rebuilt the new version. I sure hope they put that huge guitar across the front of the hotel. That is the room I want to stay in next year. Can’t wait to see what it looks like today. Speaking of the Hard Rock brand. I’ve been collecting guitar pins for years, and thanks to my work with the magazine and travel in the security realm, I have a few. OK, a couple hundred or more. My first pin from the Hard Rock in San Francisco. My favorite from the Hard Rock in Hong Kong. The most from New York or Las Vegas, and I can’t leave out my special collection from Texas restaurants in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin.

I’ve been collecting product descriptions and photos the past couple of weeks for a little project that will appear in the May/June issue of Security Today magazine. Years ago, we were known by the launch name of Security Products. As things evolved and print space became a premium, we wandered away from page full of products. With careful planning and a lot of luck, this issue will be full of products that were on display at ISC West.

If you have a product that you want people to see and read about, send it my way. Here is what I’ll need: about 100 words description and a high-resolution image of the product. I’m on a tight deadline so send it my way quickly.

Travel safe everyone. This is your show, and it is being billed as a good one. I’m betting (pun intended) it will be.

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
