Hanwha Vision Launches ConfigPro Management Tool

New enterprise-grade software streamlines large-scale security deployments by enabling simultaneous bulk configuration and centralized device management.

Hanwha Vision has released ConfigPro, a new device management and configuration tool designed to simplify large-scale security installations. Developed for enterprise and multi-site environments, ConfigPro allows integrators and system designers to configure and maintain thousands of devices simultaneously from a centralized interface.

Built on a server-client architecture, the tool aims to reduce installation time and minimize on-site configuration errors by allowing for device setup prior to deployment. By offloading processing tasks to a server, the system frees up workstation resources, which can improve performance and scalability across large projects.

“Configuring devices one at a time is inefficient and impractical, especially in large-scale deployments,” said Kevin Choi, product manager at Hanwha Vision. “ConfigPro is a dedicated, enterprise-grade tool that allows multiple devices to be configured simultaneously, dramatically improving speed and eliminating the headaches typically associated with surveillance system management.”

ConfigPro can operate as a standalone desktop application or by connecting client workstations to a centralized server for remote configuration across multiple sites. Client-server communication is established over a local area network or through remote networks via VPN or port-forwarded connections. The platform is built on a hardened security foundation, utilizing updated code and modernized libraries to enhance system resilience.

Key capabilities of the tool include:

  • Bulk Device Configuration: Batch configuration of cameras and security devices using tag- and group-based settings.
  • Advanced Device Management: Expanded access to detailed settings, a multi-device viewer, and support for installing open platform applications like WiseAI and CloudConnector.
  • Firmware Management: Support for manual and scheduled firmware updates that run without interrupting ongoing configuration tasks.
  • Direct Web Viewer Access: A seamless connection to individual device web interfaces from within the ConfigPro environment.

The platform currently supports the device lifecycle from installation through maintenance. Future updates are expected to include integration with Hanwha Vision’s DesignPro for earlier planning phases and HealthPro for ongoing device health monitoring and lifecycle services. Template-based configurations are also planned, which will allow users to save and apply custom settings across multiple devices simultaneously.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
