SecurityBridge Appoints Holger Hügel as Chief Technology Officer

The former director of product management will now oversee technological development and innovation for the SAP-native security platform.

SecurityBridge has promoted Holger Hügel to chief technology officer. Hügel, who previously served as the director of product management, will now lead the technological development and strategic innovation of the company’s SAP security platform.

The leadership change follows the transition of Jesper Zerlang to CEO earlier this year.

Company founders Christoph Nagy and Ivan Mans, who formerly served as CEO and CTO, are stepping back from daily executive operations but will remain involved in the company’s strategic direction.

Hügel has more than 25 years of experience in SAP and IT operations. During his tenure at SecurityBridge, he has been a key figure in advancing the company’s platform to help enterprises defend critical systems against cyber threats.

“I’m excited to continue advancing the SAP security vision established by the company’s founders,” Hügel said. “There is significant innovation potential ahead for the platform, and I look forward to working with our team to further strengthen how organizations secure their SAP environments.”

Before joining the company in 2023, Hügel held leadership positions at SECUDE, SmartShift and Realtech, where he focused on SAP S/4HANA environments and strategic partnerships.

SecurityBridge co-founder Christoph Nagy said Hügel’s deep experience in the field made him the natural choice for the position.

“Holger has extensive expertise in SAP security and a strong understanding of our platform,” Nagy said. “With him leading technology development as CTO, the founders can focus more on supporting long-term innovation and product vision.”
