ISC West Opens with Innovation Opportunity and Industry Connection

From emerging technologies to renewed partnerships, this year’s event sets the stage for what’s next in physical security.

Each spring, ISC West serves as a focal point for the physical security industry, bringing together professionals, technologies, and ideas that help shape the year ahead. As the doors open in Las Vegas, the energy on the show floor is already signaling what promises to be another strong and impactful event.

Attendance is expected to be robust, reflecting continued investment in security across sectors. From corporate campuses and healthcare systems to critical infrastructure and education, organizations are prioritizing solutions that enhance safety while improving operational efficiency. ISC West provides a unique opportunity to see how these priorities are translating into real-world technologies.

Early conversations and previews suggest that innovation will again take center stage. A wide range of new products and projects are being introduced, many focused on improving system integration, expanding intelligent analytics, and simplifying deployment across complex environments. As security challenges evolve, so too does the need for solutions that are both adaptable and scalable.

Beyond the technology, one of the most valuable aspects of ISC West remains the opportunity for connection. The show brings together a diverse community of security professionals—integrators, manufacturers, consultants, and end users—all working toward a common goal. Reconnecting with colleagues, building new relationships, and exchanging ideas are just as critical as the solutions on display.

These conversations also help shape future collaboration. Events like ISC West often serve as a starting point for new initiatives, including educational opportunities such as webinars and thought leadership discussions. Identifying professionals willing to share their expertise helps strengthen the broader security community and ensures that knowledge continues to circulate across the industry.

As the week unfolds, ISC West will once again highlight the innovation, dedication, and collaboration that define the physical security profession. It is a reminder that while technology continues to advance, the strength of the industry ultimately lies in the people behind it.

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
