ROC Access Face1 Wins Top Biometrics Award

The Security Industry Association recognizes ROC’s new facial recognition reader as the premier biometric innovation at ISC West.

Rank One Computing, known as ROC, received the "Best in Biometrics" honor at the 2026 Security Industry Association New Products and Solutions Awards. The award, presented at the ISC West conference, recognizes the company’s ROC Access Face1 product for its impact on physical security technology.

The ROC Access Face1 is a compact biometric reader designed for high-traffic environments that require elevated security. It features a forged carbon fiber frame and a field-upgradable sensor. The system integrates biometric identity verification with video analytics, allowing the device to perform multiple security functions at a single point of entry.

The device utilizes facial recognition algorithms that previously ranked top in efficiency and accuracy tests conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Unlike traditional readers that only activate during an access attempt, the Face1 includes proactive intelligence features such as integrated weapon detection and watch-list monitoring.

According to company officials, the device is designed to provide continuous utility by combining real-time video analytics with identity verification. This integration allows for high-confidence decision-making in both physical and digital environments where speed and accuracy are required.

The SIA NPS Awards are a long-standing program in the security industry, highlighting hardware and software solutions that influence the future of the field.
