Smart Stage to Highlight Integration Trends at CEDIA Expo

The upcoming CEDIA Expo and Commercial Integrator Expo will feature a dedicated forum focused on the intersection of residential and commercial technology.

Programming at the Smart Stage will center on the evolving landscape of the integration industry, bringing together manufacturers, designers and business leaders. The sessions, scheduled for early September in Denver, aim to address shifts in market growth and competitive advantages for industry professionals.

The schedule includes a heavy focus on artificial intelligence and its practical applications within the security sector. Presentations will explore how AI is being integrated into equipment racks, powering intelligent surveillance systems and utilizing edge processing to improve monitoring capabilities. Discussions will also cover how automation tools can streamline business workflows for integration firms.

In addition to security and AI, the program will address energy management and the rising importance of power reliability in system design. Experts are expected to discuss the convergence of energy usage and smart home performance, as well as the continued expansion of immersive home cinema and large-scale residential displays.

Design-build collaboration remains a core theme for the event. Several sessions will focus on architectural audio solutions and strategies for integrators to partner with architects earlier in the construction process. Other topics include business diversification through lighting, shading and light commercial projects.

The stage will also host various industry recognition events throughout the week. These include the BEST Product Awards, the Integration Awards and the Women to Watch 2026 celebration. The event concludes with a trendspotting session where experts summarize the most influential technologies observed on the show floor.
